About The Position

Advanced Mechanical Arizona, part of Kelso Industries, is seeking an experienced and motivated HVAC Foreman to lead their field installation team. This role involves supervising journeyman technicians, apprentices, and helpers to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The position requires strong technical expertise in HVAC systems, along with excellent people-management and problem-solving skills. Requirements

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in HVAC installation and service, with at least 2–3 years in a lead or foreman role.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, VRF systems, and energy management systems.
  • Proven ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with new construction, tenant improvements, and service/repair work.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification. OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Welding, brazing, and pipefitting experience.
  • Ability to use industry software
  • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of HVAC technicians, apprentices, commercial, or industrial projects.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate system layouts and installations.
  • Conduct daily safety briefings, job site inspections, and enforce company safety policies.
  • Monitor project progress, labor hours, and material usage; report status and any issues to the Project Manager.
  • Troubleshoot complex HVAC system problems and provide technical guidance to the team.
  • Coordinate with other trades, general contractors, engineers, and clients to maintain smooth project execution.
  • Perform quality control inspections and verify that installations meet design intent and customer expectations.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians and apprentices to develop their skills.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, time sheets, inventory logs, and service records.
  • Manage equipment, tools, and vehicle maintenance for the crew.
  • Assist with estimating, ordering materials, and job costing when required.
