About The Position

As a CBRE Government and Defense Services Commercial Cleaner, you will perform basic cleaning duties and ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas. Work includes cleaning high-traffic building areas, floors and carpets, restrooms, hallways, storage units, elevators, and other designated spaces. The position works Saturday and Sunday on a part-time schedule.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of job-related experience specific to floor care and carpet cleaning.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow established work routines and procedures.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
• Reliable and dependable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial work, or a similar field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations are a plus; no specific certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to supervisor-designated high-traffic building areas, including floor and carpet care.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other areas.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Keep cleaning supplies in a safe, secure area.
• Complete the standardized cleaning process according to company standards.
• Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in applying work.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems, with limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
