About The Position

As a CBRE Government and Defense Services Commercial Cleaner, you will perform basic cleaning duties, including mopping, sweeping, and trash disposal, and ensure the cleanliness of assigned areas. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The role provides daily cleaning support to designated high-traffic building areas and includes restocking bathrooms, cleaning storage units and common areas, dusting furniture and equipment, cleaning glass surfaces, and securing cleaning supplies. The cleaner follows company cleaning standards and procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment, attends staff meetings and required training, and uses established routines to complete straightforward work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of job-related experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow established work routines and procedures.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
• Ability to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
• Reliable and dependable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial work, or a similar field.
• Relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to supervisor-designated high-traffic building areas.
• Restock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other assigned areas.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment, including moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Keep cleaning supplies in a safe, secure area.
• Follow the standardized cleaning process and company standards.
• Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow established work routines and standards and use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
