Commercial Financial Analyst
About The Position
We are hiring a Financial Analyst supporting commercial FP&A, revenue analytics, and financial systems of Hologic! This role will be responsible for consolidating commercial department expenses, headcount, and capital spending, performing department cost analysis, and providing commentary. The analyst will coordinate FP&A activities with the finance team and operations leaders, support cost center expense review, analysis, and research, and assist with quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting. The position will improve financial status by analyzing expenses, identifying trends, and giving recommendations, as well as reconciling transactions and managing month-end close activities for department cost re-classes and accruals. Additionally, the role involves implementing structures to support business needs and taking on special projects as required. For revenue analytics, the analyst will be responsible for month-end closing activities related to revenue performance for the Diagnostics division, modeling and presenting findings to leadership regarding key activities that generated financial outcomes, and preparing required month-end journal entries. The financial system support will focus on Hyperion Planning / SmartView, financial databases (QlikSense, Power BI), and Oracle.
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field
- 2+ years of experience in FP&A or Cost Accounting Environment
- Strong business acumen
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to complete multiple priorities within tight deadlines
- Ability to interface with all levels of management
- Understanding of Oracle ERP systems and Hyperion
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Advanced worksheet manipulation skills
Responsibilities
- Consolidate commercial department expenses, headcount and capital spending report
- Perform department cost analysis and provide commentary

- Support cost center expense review, analysis and research
- Support quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting
- Support commercial FP&A processes through: establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; supporting annual budget
- Improve financial status by analyzing expenses; identifying trends and giving recommendations
- Reconcile transactions and manage month close activities for department cost re-classes and accruals
- Implement structure to support business needs
- Responsible for month-end closing activities related to revenue performance for the Diagnostics division
- Model and present findings to leadership regarding key activities throughout the month that generated financial outcomes
- Prepare required month end journal entries for activities above
- Work in special projects as required
- Focus on Hyperion Planning / SmartView and financial database (QlikSense, Power BI)
