About The Position

Solid Rock Recruiting is seeking a Commercial Drywall Estimator for a leading drywall contractor serving the Baltimore region. The contractor has more than 25 years of combined industry experience and works on prestigious, high-end commercial projects. The estimator will prepare bids for projects valued at over $1 million, with a focus on metal stud framing and drywall systems, including Division 9 packages.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an estimator in the commercial drywall and/or commercial plaster sector.
• Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff software.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, competitive estimates for commercial drywall and Division 9 packages exceeding $1 million.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather project details.
• Use On-Screen Takeoff software for detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
• Analyze project specifications and drawings to create comprehensive bid proposals.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Manage multiple bids and meet tight deadlines.
