About The Position

The Commercial Development Program (CDP) is an early-career development program for sales and marketing professionals intended to build the foundation for future commercial leadership roles at Nutramax Laboratories. The program provides training in sales and leadership and a path to field-based sales or in-house marketing roles. It gives participants exposure to the company’s mission, culture, values, leadership model, commercial organization, veterinary science industry, support functions, and career tools. The program includes approximately three months of intensive commercial training at Nutramax’s headquarters in Lancaster, South Carolina, followed by approximately six months in Veterinary Sciences Inside Sales. Participants may then have the option of an approximately six-month field-based Sales Support Representative (FSS) assignment or an in-house marketing internship. Potential marketing assignments include digital/e-commerce, market segment, and product marketing. Following these rotations, participants interview for a field-based Regional Sales Manager role or an in-house marketing associate role. The posting describes the overall program as approximately 12–15 months, while also specifying rotations that may total longer. During the Inside Sales Representative rotation, the associate manages a portfolio of veterinary hospital and clinic accounts in a sales district, using inside-sales tactics to grow the territory. The role is managed by the Inside Sales supervisor, with a dotted-line relationship to the field-based District Manager. Performance is measured by sales growth, market-share expansion, achievement of strategic program objectives, and increased product depth per account. Participants must be geographically mobile within the United States, live in Lancaster for the initial nine months, and be willing to accept a field-based sales role or headquarters-based position after the program. Relocation support is provided. The ideal start date is February 2027. Later FSS and Regional Sales Manager roles may require travel of 50% of the time. Employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen, subject to applicable law.
