About The Position

Altus Commercial Receivables is hiring a Spanish-bilingual Commercial Collector to support its B2B debt recovery and financial solutions work. Collectors contact debtors by phone, mail, or email to collect payments and resolve issues on delinquent accounts, collaborating with clients, sales, and peers. They assess debtors’ financial situations, review documents and contracts, address disputes, and work toward resolutions while adhering to compliance requirements until each case is closed or escalated. This is a remote/telecommute position.

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Collections, sales, telemarketing, customer service, or call center experience is preferred.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry, and strong computer skills; Excel is preferred.
• Critical-thinking ability.
• Basic math and writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a goal-oriented approach.
• Ability to de-escalate adverse situations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Dependability.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Make a minimum of 80 outbound and inbound calls.
• Negotiate payment in full or secure a payment arrangement.
• Create a sense of urgency for debtors who are not paying.
• Work with the Client Support Representative to resolve disputes.
• Maintain a positive attitude and remain respectful toward debtors and peers.
• Demonstrate strong work ethic and integrity.
• Prioritize time management and remain professional.
• Meet or exceed monthly phone, activity, and fee quotas.
• Contact debtors by phone, mail, or email; assess financial situations, review documents and contracts, and resolve disputes toward case closure or escalation while following compliance requirements.
