About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Carmel office is hiring a Spanish/English bilingual caregiver to serve senior adults and others in need in Hamilton County and surrounding areas. The role involves providing compassionate, one-on-one support and companionship to clients, helping them remain comfortable and safe at home and in the community. Duties range from light housekeeping and meal preparation to personal care, mobility assistance, and transportation. The position offers advanced training opportunities in areas such as dementia and Alzheimer’s care. Shift options include full-time and part-time schedules, 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts, PRN, and short shifts.

Requirements

Spanish/English bilingual speaking ability.
Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver orientation.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate manner.
Good time-management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including attending appointments and taking walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Provide transportation and one-on-one mobility assistance.
