About The Position

The Commercial Cleaner/Floor Technician cleans and maintains flooring throughout the facility according to standard procedures. Assigned areas may include administrative offices, the lobby, hallways, and public restrooms. The role involves caring for hard and carpeted surfaces, using cleaning chemicals and floor-care equipment safely, and maintaining supplies and equipment. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience cleaning floors.
• Working knowledge of flooring types, appropriate care, and proper use of chemicals and equipment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, strip, and refinish hard flooring surfaces according to standard operating procedures.
• Vacuum and scrub carpeted surfaces according to standard operating procedures.
• Move furniture and other objects as needed to perform floor care, then return them to their original places.
• Monitor supplies and request additional cleaning solutions as needed.
• Keep floor machines clean and in proper working condition.
• Handle cleaning chemicals in compliance with established guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report conditions requiring maintenance attention or repair to the immediate supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
