About The Position

As a CBRE Government & Defense Services Commercial Cleaning Lead, you oversee cleaners at the site and supervise staff responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment for employees and clients. The role includes coordinating daily team activities, schedules, assignments, training, supplies, client communications, and quality inspections. You may also provide daily cleaning support to designated private areas of the building. The position is full-time, and its minimum pay rate is $18.00. It may be eligible for benefits that can include medical, well-being, financial planning, and short-term incentives benefits. The workplace is drug-free, and pre-employment substance abuse testing is performed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to follow established work routines and procedures.
Basic verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.
Ability to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
Reliable and dependable, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Experience in facilities, maintenance, custodial, or a similar field is preferred.
Relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations are a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
Schedule daily staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
Check cleaning equipment condition, order cleaning supplies as needed, and ensure supplies are kept in a safe, secure area.
Coordinate and liaise with clients and employees, handling complaints and feedback.
Inform the team of requests and confirm completion.
Inspect cleaners' work and submit daily cleanliness reports.
Initiate regular training on procedures for using chemical cleaners.
Ensure standardized cleaning processes meet company standards.
Provide daily cleaning support to designated private areas of the building as needed.
Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives.
May establish new techniques to help the team meet its objectives.
Ensure personal and team outcomes positively affect customer objectives.
Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE-GDS values.
