Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • If operating a Company Vehicle, a valid driver’s license will be required
  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales, Estimating, or Project Management in the construction industry
  • Proficient use of On-Screen Takeoff Software and/or Quick Bid Software & MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Strong Mathematics skills in order to manage project expenses and revenue
  • Working knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements and Prevailing Wage contracts
  • Obtain applicable certifications/licenses as required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Trades: Framing & Sheathing, Insulation, Firestopping, Fireproofing, Waterproofing, AVB, Waterproofing, Expansion Joints, Sealants, etc.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent years of experience
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent years of experience. Course of study: Construction Management or Business Management.

Responsibilities

  • Finding and building trusted customer relationships
  • Completing project estimates, quotes, bids and proposals
  • Ensuring all bid requirements and contract terms are accounted for in bid documents
  • Assisting the Project Management team
  • Managing customer service from sale to completion, including project management as needed
  • Identifying prospective customers and proactively engaging with leads to drive sales
  • Proactively selling proposals via traditional account management techniques including structured follow up, value engineering suggestions and strategic proposal formatting
  • Offering comprehensive product expertise to current and potential customers
  • Meeting division expectations for the number of proposals and closing sales ratios
  • Monitoring market conditions, product innovations, and competitor’s products
  • Conducting sales calls, providing proposals, generating leads and managing accounts efficiently
  • Participating in bidding, pre-construction services, budgeting, and project planning
  • Recognizing on-site issues
  • Reviewing estimates
  • Managing contracts
  • Supporting production and field installers
  • Handling change orders and competitor analysis
  • Creating and managing profitable business growth
  • Understanding, recommending, and selling products, materials and services on commercial projects
  • Creating and delivering project estimates, quotes, bids, proposals and contracts
  • Project managing contracts to ensure profitable results are achieved
  • Developing new business opportunities through referrals, cold calls, and lead generation by analyzing data, utilizing building permits and available “LEAD” application
  • Creating trusted relationships with new and existing clients and developing strong internal company relationships
  • Developing and executing a comprehensive monthly sales plan to service and expand business
  • Understanding the scope of the project and pricing of material & labor to create customer estimates, quotes, bids, proposals and final contracts that generate profit for the company
  • Learning and using OST and following peer review/manager process
  • Creating and presenting proposals to customers that are a hybrid of estimates, quotes, and bids combined into a comprehensive professionally presented package
  • Communicating proposals and competitive advantage when communicating proposals
  • Ensuring no work is performed without a fully executed Work Agreement or Customer Contract
  • Proactively communicating and managing relationships, working with general contractor and other trades for appropriate sequencing of the scope of work
  • Performing site visits
  • Preparing schedule of values for revenue recognition
  • Monthly requisitions for invoicing
  • Meeting production milestones to achieve project budget objectives
  • Generating change orders as needed
  • Resolving problems quickly to not affect the schedule
  • Communicating company safety program to customers at the inception of contact or sale by inspecting job sites to identify any safety concerns
  • Monitoring local and federal regulations
  • Setting up cadence of touch points with customer and internal team to review project
  • Ensuring stakeholders adhere to, understand contractual obligations, and determine when processes violate regulations
  • Performing regular site visits to assess risks and make recommendations based on analysis of all factors affecting a business situation
  • Assisting production and field installers in managing project budget
  • Overseeing expenses and revenue to create financial returns and business growth
