About The Position

The Commercial Business Analyst connects distributor data with commercial leadership decisions, working across data integration, financial analysis, sales compensation, and reporting. The role brings together information from multiple sources and makes it reliable and useful for commercial decision-making. It is an in-office position in Lake Forest, California. The analyst ingests, cleans, and standardizes sales files from independent distributors in different formats; normalizes customer, address, hospital affiliation, and service-type information; and tracks distributor adjustments, chargebacks, and product-level rebates. The role also uses command-line scripts, batch files, and file-staging workflows to prepare data for import. The position establishes and maintains sales performance baselines, calculates and audits monthly sales draws and quarterly commissions, and analyzes actual results against baselines and prior-year performance. The analyst identifies performance drivers, volume shifts, margin erosion, potential revenue losses, and territory-level net-new business, then partners with sales leadership to explain findings and inform territory performance and retention decisions. The role builds and maintains Excel data models, Power Query transformations, Power Pivot relational models, and Power BI dashboards and executive scorecards for sales trends, commission attainment, and pipeline health. Base salary is up to approximately $130,000, subject to confirmation. Bonus and benefits will be discussed as details are confirmed.
