Commercial Banking Rotational Internship Summer 2027
About The Position
Johnson Financial Group is offering an 11-week Commercial Banking rotational internship for Summer 2027. Interns work alongside Credit and Commercial Banking professionals in structured rotations, gaining hands-on exposure to key areas of the Commercial Banking business, client-focused work, and practical skills that may prepare them for entry-level opportunities at JFG. The experience is intended to help interns explore their interests and understand how their talents may align with Commercial Banking and the financial services industry. Rotations include Credit, where interns learn the 5 C’s of Credit and observe the credit analysis process; Sales, where they attend client meetings with Commercial Banking Relationship Managers; and Treasury Management, where they partner with the team to learn about consultative sales and products and solutions that help clients manage business needs. The program also includes opportunities to learn about JFG and its surrounding communities, connect with the Executive Team and other leaders, participate in a community volunteer event with the Hunger Task Force, take part in the Light the Hoan Internship Challenge, and attend additional networking, learning, and community-focused experiences. Requirements
- Actively seeking a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Junior standing.
Nice To Haves
- Involvement in a Commercial Banking club or program is preferred.
- Involvement in a Finance Association is highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Participate in structured rotations alongside Credit and Commercial Banking professionals.
- Learn the 5 C’s of Credit and gain exposure to the credit analysis process with the Credit team.
- Attend client meetings with Commercial Banking Relationship Managers and observe how client relationships are built and supported.
- Partner with the Treasury Management team to learn about consultative sales and business products and solutions.
- Participate in networking, learning, and community-focused activities, including a volunteer event and the Light the Hoan Internship Challenge.
