About The Position

As a Commercial Banker on the Technology Fintech & Payments Banking Team, you will grow and retain profitable relationships within Commercial & Specialized Industries, specializing in Fintech and Payments Banking. The team is part of J.P. Morgan’s Commercial Banking group. You will be a focal point for client acquisition and ongoing relationships with innovative companies, working independently and with a team to deliver the firm’s full range of capabilities to clients.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of Commercial Banking products and services.
• Understanding of and interest in software, fintech, payments, and ecommerce companies.
• Excellent sales management and business development skills.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnerships with senior business and control partners.
• Self-directed, proactive, and creative; uses sound judgment and navigates ambiguity to get things done.
• FINRA Series 79, Series 63, and Securities Industry Essentials licenses required, or must be obtained within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Build a market brand for Fintech & Payments Technology Banking as a leading innovation-economy bank serving excellent and diverse clients.
• Develop new business by acquiring relationships and deepening existing ones through the firm’s full range of solutions, including credit and payments.
• Seek out diverse founders driving innovation by leveraging referrals developed through business activities and relationship building.
• Promote innovation and a customer-centric mindset while appropriately managing credit, operational, and reputational risk.
• Stay current on industry trends in innovation, startups, and entrepreneurship to identify opportunities for innovation and strategic partnerships.
