Data Center Asset Management, Commercial Associate

About The Position

Anthropic is hiring a Commercial Associate for its Data Center Asset Management team. Anthropic leases large data center campuses from developers, and its compute roadmap depends on those campuses being built, energized, and handed over on schedule. The team renegotiates signed deals when projects slip, adjusting commercial terms and then ensuring that agreed actions are completed. The associate will serve as second chair on negotiations alongside the team lead, with the expectation of being able to run a site independently within six to nine months. The role involves managing issues and document coordination on live renegotiations, drafting commercial documents with counsel, securing internal approvals, and maintaining day-to-day communication with developers and their counsel. It also includes regular project-site visits, maintaining version control and claims records, and helping onboard two senior contract specialists. The role is full-time, requires regular travel to U.S. project sites for approximately 30% of the time, and is not site-based. Anthropic currently expects staff to work from one of its offices at least 25% of the time, although some roles may require more office time.
