Data Center Asset Management, Commercial Associate

Anthropic•San Francisco, NY
•Hybrid

About The Position

Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems that are safe and beneficial for users and society. The Data Center Asset Management team works on large data center campuses leased from developers. Its compute roadmap depends on these campuses being built, energized, and handed over on schedule. When a signed project falls behind, the team renegotiates commercial terms and ensures the resulting agreements are carried out. The Commercial Associate will serve as second chair on negotiations, working directly with the team lead, with the expectation of being able to run a site independently within six to nine months. The role involves coordinating live renegotiations, drafting and managing deal documents, securing internal approvals, maintaining communications with developers and their counsel, visiting project sites, and tracking notices and claims. The position is full-time, involves regular U.S. project-site travel of about 30% of the time, and is not site-based. Anthropic currently expects staff to work from one of its offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office time.
