About The Position

The Commercial Analyst Intern supports StandardAero’s pricing team by applying concepts from finance, statistics, economics, operations management, and technical disciplines to help improve profitability, cash flow, and revenue generation. The intern works on pricing, cost optimization, and business decision support for aircraft engine maintenance services in an aviation maintenance, repair, and overhaul environment. The position is on-site at the company’s San Antonio, Texas facility.

The intern develops customer estimates, invoices, and pricing; researches service offerings with cross-functional teams; analyzes financial and commercial data; and creates dashboards, reports, and presentations. The role also provides exposure to aircraft engines, real-world business operations, and analytical problem-solving.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Expected to have junior or senior academic standing during the internship.
• Ability to work on-site at the San Antonio, Texas facility.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, or report data.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings and business information through written and verbal communication.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Power BI to develop dashboards, reports, or data visualizations.
• Relevant coursework in finance, accounting, statistics, economics, or operations management.
• Experience working with financial data, pricing, invoicing, or business analysis.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience preparing presentations or summarizing data for business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support the pricing team in developing customer estimates, invoices, and pricing for aircraft engine maintenance services.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and other functional groups to research new service offerings and support pricing recommendations.
• Perform data entry and validate information from multiple sources to support pricing and commercial activities.
• Support financial analysis and business case development to evaluate and present potential solutions to customers.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and data analyses using Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
• Prepare reports and analyses to assess quality of earnings and identify opportunities to improve billing processes.
• Prepare presentations and supporting materials to communicate analytical findings and recommendations.
