About The Position

Westmount Realty Capital is a privately held commercial real estate development and investment management company based in Dallas. The company specializes in value-add and opportunistic real estate investments and has a 40-year track record, with a portfolio of more than 13 million square feet of industrial and office properties and 4,000 multifamily units nationally.

The Commercial Acquisitions Analyst Intern will support the Commercial Acquisitions Team, including underwriting potential new investment opportunities with Argus Enterprise and an Excel-based model. The position is scheduled to start in January 2027 and end July 31, 2027, or no later than December 31, 2027. The role offers up to 30 hours per week, increasing to 40 hours during winter and summer. Compensation is $20 per hour, or $25 per hour for graduate students.

The intern will report to the Senior Director of Commercial Investments and work directly with Acquisitions Analysts on assigned projects. Training, coaching, and mentoring will cover commercial acquisition topics and concepts, particularly industrial investments, as well as real estate lending and appraisal. The intern will also receive recurring performance coaching and career mentoring. The internship includes a final project and presentation in July.

Requirements

• Working toward a degree in Finance with a Real Estate focus.
• The position is intended for a rising junior working toward an undergraduate degree, a senior graduating in May or December 2027, or an MBA candidate.
• Willingness to learn and enthusiasm for commercial real estate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in underwriting potential new investment opportunities using Argus Enterprise and an Excel-based model.
• Research and analyze demographic, economic, and real estate market data.
• Occasionally communicate with brokers, lenders, and third-party providers to obtain applicable information.
• Attend and participate in weekly investment committee meetings, presentations, and property site tours.
• Prepare presentation materials for potential new acquisitions.
• Assist in writing and producing investment memoranda and related marketing materials.
• Assist in due diligence and closing processes.
• Provide overall support to the Commercial Acquisitions Team.
• Complete a final project and presentation in July.
