About The Position

Prepare, review, and evaluate commercial and agricultural loan requests for compliance with bank policy. Enter requested loan data into the loan documentation system, assemble loan documents, and review them for accuracy before forwarding closing packages to loan officers and/or loan assistants. The role also provides customer service and performs other loan-processing projects and clerical duties as assigned. The position includes compliance responsibilities related to bank policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or one to three years of banking and/or loan experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Experience using Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to handle customer and teammate contact situations tactfully and professionally.
• General knowledge of bank operations, lending, and information technology.

Responsibilities

• Review commercial and agricultural loan requests for compliance with loan policy.
• Prepare commercial and agricultural loan closing documents.
• Prepare commercial and agricultural loan modifications.
• Record commercial and agricultural information in Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.
• Log items in the quality control (QC) database.
• Provide outstanding internal and external customer service.
• Perform other loan-processing projects and clerical duties as assigned.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as requested.
• Follow applicable bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including BSA, AML, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act requirements; complete CTRs accurately when applicable; adhere to customer identification and due diligence requirements; and report suspicious activities to the BSA Department.
