About The Position

The Commercial Ag Loan Closer prepares, reviews, and evaluates commercial and agricultural loan requests for compliance with bank policy. The role enters requested loan data into the loan documentation system, assembles loan documents, and checks documents for accuracy before forwarding closing packages to loan officers and/or loan assistants. It also provides internal and external customer service and performs additional loan-processing and clerical work as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent, or one to three years of banking and/or loan experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and time-management skills.
Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to handle customer and teammate interactions tactfully and professionally.
General knowledge of bank operations, lending, and information technology.

Responsibilities

Review commercial and agricultural loan requests for compliance with loan policy.
Prepare commercial and agricultural loan closing documents.
Prepare commercial and agricultural loan modifications.
Record commercial and agricultural information in Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.
Log items in the quality-control database.
Provide outstanding internal and external customer service.
Complete other loan-processing projects and clerical duties as assigned.
Attend meetings and training sessions as requested.
Follow bank policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state regulatory requirements, including BSA, AML, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act obligations.
Complete Currency Transaction Reports accurately when applicable, adhere to customer identification and due diligence requirements, and report suspicious activities to the BSA Department.
Maintain job knowledge and technical skills, manage workload and time effectively, and follow attendance and break policies.
