About The Position

Cadence Education is seeking an energetic, creative substitute preschool teacher with a passion for children. The role supports preschools across regional locations and creates a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. The substitute embraces the company’s educational philosophy, works with educators to deliver curriculum, observes and builds on children’s interests, and helps promote children’s social development. The position is based in Lexington, South Carolina, and may require travel to sister schools during the workday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Meet all state preschool teacher assistant requirements.
• Be flexible and ready to work during business hours.

• Experience as a teacher assistant or in a licensed daycare.

Responsibilities

• Embrace Cadence Education’s philosophy and work with educators to deliver a fun, developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Document and share children’s daily milestones with parents.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and leaders to create engaging learning experiences.
• Observe children’s interests, maintain their safety, and enrich play through language, toys, and activities.
• Encourage social skills and positive behaviors.
• Help plan a varied daily schedule that includes quiet time, active play, indoor and outdoor activities, and fine- and gross-motor experiences.
