About The Position

The Color Technician is responsible for ensuring bulk cosmetic batches match shade reference standards. The role works in a manufacturing and packaging facility and supports shade matching for lipstick, foundation, powders, and other color cosmetics. The technician reviews batch color history and tracks daily adjustments, maintains color standards and renewals, and prepares bench batches to support full-scale batch shade matching and rework shade investigations. The position communicates as needed with Manufacturing, Quality Control, R&D, and customers. This role requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while supporting multiple batches.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Three years of cosmetic shade-matching experience, or five or more years of experience in a related chemical or paint industry.
Ability to see color.
Strong attention to detail.
Knowledge of basic math.
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic understanding of GMP and ISO requirements.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and support multiple batches at the same time.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required by the work area or tasks.

Responsibilities

Match batch shades for lipstick, foundation, powders, and other color cosmetics against reference standards.
Accurately review batch color history and track daily adjustments.
Maintain color standards and renew them upon expiration.
Make bench batches as needed to support full-scale batch shade matching and rework shade investigations.
Communicate with Manufacturing, Quality Control, R&D, and customers as necessary.
Perform other duties as needed to support the organization's vision, mission, and values.
