About The Position

The Color Technician mixes colors for multiple designs of soft plastic baits. The role manages inbound work orders by SKU and stays ahead of production schedules and raw material requirements. The technician is responsible for color-related materials and inventory, reports formula inventory regularly to the Production Manager, and follows recipe guidelines. The job involves extended periods on the plant floor in a fast-paced environment. The technician maintains a clean and safe work area and keeps mixing equipment and tools clean and in good condition. Forklift certification is required and provided by the employer. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Proficiency with units of measurement and simple mathematics.
Ability to use hand tools.
Ability to work in a team setting or independently.
Ability to understand processes and instructions.
Ability to read and follow standard operational processes.
Forklift certification; certification is provided by the employer.
Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color.
Ability to perform the listed physical activities and tasks, including lifting and carrying items under 20 lbs. and 21–59 lbs., pulling, pushing, repeated bending and stretching, reaching over shoulders, using fingers, walking, standing, and kneeling.
Hearing ability; hearing aids are permitted.
