About The Position

The Color Technician mixes colors for multiple designs of soft plastic baits and manages inbound work orders by SKU while keeping ahead of the production schedule and raw-material requirements. The role is part-time and works for Bass Pro Shops. The technician is responsible for color-related materials and inventory, reports formula inventory regularly to the Production Manager, follows recipe guidelines, and maintains a clean and safe work area with mixing equipment and tools kept clean and in good condition. The work involves extended periods on the plant floor in a fast-paced environment. Forklift certification is required and provided by the employer. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Proficiency with units of measurement and simple mathematics.
Ability to use hand tools.
Ability to work in a team setting or independently.
Ability to understand processes and instructions.
Ability to read and follow standard operational processes.
Forklift certification; certification is provided by the employer.
Ability to distinguish basic colors and shades of color.
Ability to meet the listed physical requirements, including light and moderate lifting and carrying, pulling, pushing, bending, reaching, finger use, walking, standing, kneeling, and stretching.
