About The Position

Dewey Ford, a Ken Garff Automotive Dealership, is seeking a Collision Repair Estimator who demonstrates respect, integrity, growth, humility, and teamwork. The role creates repair estimates, supports insurance claims and negotiations, assesses vehicle damage, and builds strong relationships with customers, insurance companies, and coworkers. The position requires 1 to 2 years of collision-center estimating experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid in-state driver's license. Knowledge of parts and proficiency with collision-center computer systems are preferred but not required.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience as an Estimator in a collision center.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid in-state driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of parts is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in collision-center computer software systems is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Create estimates that comply with specific insurance company requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, insurance companies, and coworkers.
• Handle negotiations with insurance companies as needed.
• Prepare insurance claim forms with repair or replacement cost estimates and provide customers with recommendations.
• Calculate estimated vehicle repair costs and/or the vehicle's salvage value.
• Thoroughly inspect customers' vehicles to assess damage.
• Review repair and replacement-part estimates with customers.
