About The Position

XP Auto Center, a family-owned business in San Fernando, California, is seeking a motivated and experienced Collision Repair Estimator. The company offers state-of-the-art facilities and technology for collision repair services. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. The role combines collision repair estimating with parts management and coordination with insurance adjusters, customers, technicians, suppliers, and DRP networks.

Requirements

Prior experience working as a Collision Estimator with a DRP shop.
Experience ordering parts through OPS, Collision Line, and Parts Trader Pro.
Ability to use CCC, Mitchell Connect, and Audatex software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Valid driver's license and insurance.
Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate, detailed collision repair estimates accounting for labor, parts, and materials.
Manage parts ordering, inventory control, and procurement to ensure parts are available when needed.
Communicate with insurance adjusters, DRP partners, and customers about estimates, repair needs, and timelines.
Collaborate with technicians and shop staff to assess damage, identify parts needs, and ensure the correct parts are used.
Track parts usage, monitor stock levels, and order replacement parts as needed.
Document parts used accurately and ensure proper coding for billing and inventory.
Stay current with automotive industry trends, repair techniques, parts technology, and regulatory requirements.
Manage relationships with parts suppliers, vendors, and DRP networks to support cost-effective purchasing and timely delivery.
Provide technicians with guidance and training on parts-related issues and repair procedures.
Work with management to monitor and control parts expenses and improve shop cost-efficiency.
Ensure compliance with safety standards for parts handling and overall shop operations.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient parts storage area.
