Collision General Manager

MotocruitShreveport, LA
Onsite

About The Position

This is a leadership role for a hands-on operator who is ready to run a shop and grow into ownership. You will own the day-to-day operation of the collision center: leading technicians, controlling workflow, writing and overseeing estimates, and holding the line with carriers on accurate, complete, and safe repairs. You will drive the metrics that matter, including cycle time, customer satisfaction, capture ratio, and gross profit, and deliver a customer experience that earns repeat business and dealer referrals. The owner runs the financials today and will mentor you into the full profit and loss over time, with a clear path into a true General Manager seat and potential equity in the business. We are looking for a leader who understands repair from the floor up, not a desk-only manager.

Requirements

  • Deep back of shop and repair experience; you understand the work well enough to manage it and write it
  • Proven estimating ability and comfort with estimating systems such as CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex
  • Insurance and DRP fluency, including carrier negotiation and supplement handling; State Farm experience is a strong plus
  • Working knowledge of safe, proper repair standards and manufacturer repair procedures, including scanning and calibration
  • Hands-on, low ego leadership style suited to a small, independent family shop
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Prior General Manager or shop manager experience at a similar sized independent collision center
  • Familiarity with import and dealer collision work (Lexus, Subaru, Toyota)
  • I-CAR or ASE training or certification
  • Comfort managing to shop metrics such as cycle time, CSI, capture ratio, and gross profit
  • Ark-La-Tex ties or genuine openness to relocating to Shreveport

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the body and paint technicians and keep the production floor moving
  • Control workflow, scheduling, and cycle time to meet quality and delivery commitments
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and high-performing shop environment
  • Write and oversee estimates using CCC ONE, Mitchell, or Audatex
  • Ensure every vehicle is repaired thoroughly, safely, and to manufacturer repair procedures, including required scanning and calibration
  • Inspect completed work and sign off on quality before delivery
  • Own the customer experience and protect customer satisfaction and retention
  • Manage DRP relationships and hold the line with carriers on fair estimates and supplements, with State Farm as the primary DRP
  • Capture and convert incoming opportunities into scheduled, completed repairs
  • Manage to the shop's key metrics, including sales, gross profit, capture ratio, and cycle time
  • Learn the profit and loss alongside the owner and grow into full financial responsibility
  • Recruit, coach, and retain a strong team as the shop grows its technician capacity

Benefits

  • A real path to ownership, including potential equity for a proven performer
  • Direct mentorship from an owner who will teach you the full financial side of the business
  • Genuine autonomy to run the shop your way, without corporate red tape
  • A family first culture in a small team that looks out for one another
  • An established, profitable business with locked-in dealer relationships and a primary State Farm DRP
  • A competitive base plus production commission and performance bonus that grows as the shop grows
  • Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
  • Monthly healthcare stipend (currently $500) to apply toward medical, dental, or vision coverage
  • Disability and life insurance
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Annual team holiday bonus shared across the whole crew
