About The Position

Join Kniesel’s Collision - X Street as a Collision Estimator and become part of a high-performing, team-driven shop known for quality and customer care. In this role, you’ll write accurate, detailed repair estimates, serve as a primary point of contact for customers and insurance partners, and help guide each repair from intake through completion. Kniesel's Collision – X Street is located in the heart of Sacramento's vibrant Midtown/Downtown corridor at 1228 X Street, just minutes from the State Capitol, R Street District, Downtown Commons (DOCO), and some of Sacramento's most popular dining, entertainment, and residential neighborhoods. This central location provides employees with easy access to major freeways, public transportation, and the energy of one of the city's most dynamic urban districts.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as a collision estimator or in a related role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CCC1, Mitchell, and other collision repair estimating software.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with customers, insurance companies, and team members.
  • Familiarity with Nexsyis management software is a plus.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver top-notch customer service by clearly explaining repair plans, maintaining open communication throughout the repair process, promptly addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction upon completion.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in collision estimating processes, including body, frame, mechanical, and paint operations. Capable of conducting comprehensive damage assessments and producing accurate, detailed repair estimates.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies to ensure repairs are approved and align with insurance and Kniesel’s standards.
  • Work closely with body technicians and other team members to manage repair timelines and deliver high-quality repairs.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure repairs meet Kniesel’s standards, ensuring accuracy and adherence to all regulatory guidelines.
