Collision Center Foreperson
About The Position
The H-Team is looking for an experienced Collision Center Foreperson who’s ready to lead from the shop floor. In this role, you’ll help guide our collision technicians, keep production moving, and make sure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to our high standards. You’ll serve as a go-to resource for the team—helping troubleshoot challenging repairs, coaching technicians, coordinating training, and working closely with management to keep the shop running smoothly. If you’re an experienced collision technician who enjoys helping others succeed and takes pride in quality work, this could be a great next step in your career!
Requirements
- 5+ years of collision repair experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and good judgment.
- Competent in supervising others; previous supervisory experience desirable.
- Strong communication skills with cross-cultural sensitivity to staff members.
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and information.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work cooperatively with all other staff.
- High energy and strong motivation to learn and succeed.
- Solid technical knowledge and skills related to automotive body repair.
- Basic math skills, with some estimating experience desirable.
Nice To Haves
- ASE certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the daily work of the collision technician team.
- Monitor repairs to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met.
- Assist technicians with challenging repairs and troubleshooting.
- Perform hands-on collision repair work as needed.
- Train, coach, and support technician development.
- Help coordinate required training and certifications.
- Communicate with management about team, production, and repair concerns.
- Hold regular team meetings and help keep the team informed and engaged.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment.
- Ensure company policies and safety procedures are followed.
- Help evaluate and provide feedback to technicians.
- Other duties as assigned.
