About The Position

Wilson & Company is seeking a Civil Engineering-focused College Intern for its Albuquerque office. The intern will apply classroom learning to real-world projects, work with clients and experienced engineers, assist project managers, solve problems, and collaborate with partners on built-environment projects. The position offers hands-on work and tutorial training in areas such as highway engineering, municipal roadway engineering, and drainage engineering. It is a year-round paid opportunity that may lead to full-time employment after graduation. The role is office-based, with no remote work anticipated, and is performed under the direct supervision of a Project Engineer.

Requirements

Be a Civil Engineering student interested in a civil-works career, such as highway engineering, municipal roadway engineering, or drainage engineering.
Be highly responsible and dependable.
Have strong written and oral communication skills.
Have strong problem-solving skills.
Have a positive attitude and an impeccable work ethic.
Be able to work with a team under the direct supervision of a Project Engineer.
Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Be able to commute between school and the office and work in an office environment.
Be able to manage a sustainable balance between school, internship, and personal demands.
