About The Position

This position is open to all Applicants. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Wildlife Conservation is recruiting for a College Intern 1 located in Fairbanks, Alaska! The College Intern position is intended for students currently accepted, enrolled, and attending an accredited post-secondary college in an undergraduate degree program.

Requirements

• Currently accepted, enrolled, and attending an accredited college in an undergraduate degree program while maintaining an academic load of at least six credit hours per semester (eight credit hours per quarter).
• Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
• Customer Service: Anticipates and meets the needs of both internal and external customers. Delivers high-quality products and services; is committed to continuous improvement.
• Clerical: Knowledge of filing, typing, entering data, maintaining records, taking shorthand, and using and completing forms.
• Document your GPA.
• Describe your relevant education and work or volunteer experiences as they pertain to the job description above.

Responsibilities

• Gain proficiency in WinfoNet, ADF&G’s Wildlife Information Network.
• Maintain high-quality standards for harvest data entry and management.
• Assist in coding hunt locations using Uniform Coding Unit (UCU) maps.
• Verify harvest reports through direct outreach to hunters.
• Support Wildlife Technicians with various assigned duties and projects.
