About The Position

Public Buildings’ Office of the Chief Architects needs a College Aide to assist with researching new architectural technology, tools, products and protocols to be used in the implementation of agency-wide architectural frameworks, standards, policies and sustainability technology solutions. The position will provide valuable exposure to public-sector project delivery, construction management, best practices and regulatory processes and exposure to cutting edge industry technology.

Requirements

  • Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school.
  • Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.
  • Currently authorized to work full-time in the United States (U.S.).
  • Must present original documents proving citizenship or the legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Educational credentials must be from a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accredited institution.

Nice To Haves

  • Specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or closely related field, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study (for Assignment Level II and III).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with researching new architectural technology, tools, products and protocols to be used in the implementation of agency-wide architectural frameworks, standards, policies and sustainability technology solutions.
  • Generating PowerPoint presentations and research.
  • Researching projects and publications, case studies, best practices, etc...
  • Review design drawings and visit project sites for post occupancy evaluations.
  • Document components of successful projects as well as "lessons learned.
