About The Position

Sentry Credit, now part of the TrueML family since 2025, is expanding its team to Lenexa, KS, to partner more closely with TrueAccord in revolutionizing the debt resolution industry. This role is an entry point to Sentry & the TrueAccord brand, offering long-term growth opportunities and career advancement. The Collections Specialist role is designed for motivated and empathetic communicators with sales skills who are passionate about helping people. Sentry Credit aims to change the perception of collections by emphasizing empathy and efficiency in debt servicing, improving consumers' financial health. Former specialists have advanced into leadership, technical, and critical back-office roles, demonstrating the career launchpad potential of this position. The schedule for this class is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, with a start date of 8/31.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in sales, customer retention, or a role handling objections & rejections.
Experience as a Collections Specialist, Collector, Collection Agent, Recovery Specialist, or similar.

Responsibilities

Engage directly with consumers, utilizing strong communication and negotiation skills to understand their unique situations and guide them to resolve outstanding account balances.
Proactively manage inbound and outbound calls, email, and chat to establish effective payment solutions and achieve account resolution goals.
Consistently meet and surpass key performance indicators (KPIs) for 6+ months to unlock promotion opportunities.
Uphold the highest standards of quality and compliance, embodying an empathetic approach to debt recovery.
Work within a vibrant call center environment, contributing to a team that finds new ways to help consumers achieve financial stability.
