About The Position

Vital Care is seeking a Collections Manager to manage reimbursement activities across multiple infusion and specialty pharmacy business units, with responsibilities that may include referral intake, authorizations, billing, and collections. The role promotes outstanding customer service in interactions with franchise partners, payers, and patients, and develops an effective team to support timely and successful payer reimbursement. Regulatory compliance is the foundation for revenue cycle policies and procedures. The position manages multiple teams and may oversee up to 60 people.

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of home infusion therapy experience.
Minimum 5 years of management experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage teams processing new patient referrals, insurance benefit investigations, prior authorizations, billing, and collections, depending on area of responsibility.
Allocate resources to meet KPIs; track workload distribution and assess staffing needs.
Focus on meeting and exceeding financial and department metrics.
Coach and mentor supervisors through regular one-on-ones and annual performance reviews, and provide performance counseling when needed.
Monitor payroll for accuracy and proper processing.
Resolve escalated complaints from franchise partners or patients.
Create, implement, communicate, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for areas of responsibility.
Promote customer service through training, feedback, and staff mentoring.
Audit team transactions for accuracy and compliance, and identify training opportunities.
Interview and select staff to meet business requirements and build an effective team.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
