About The Position

Under the supervision of the ACC District Manager, the Collection Attendant is responsible for accepting donations from the public, distributing requisite receipts, sorting, stacking, and inventory of goods. This role involves providing quality customer service, greeting and assisting donors, accepting or rejecting donations according to guidelines, sorting donations into designated categories, adhering to workstation organization principles, safely loading/unloading donated goods, and maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the site. The attendant must also keep management informed of site needs and perform other assigned duties. Specific customer service protocols are outlined for both Donation Xpress and Trailer sites, emphasizing direct interaction with donors at their vehicles, assistance with unloading, offering receipts, and thanking donors. The role requires maintaining the cleanliness and professional appearance of sites and trailers, as well as ensuring equipment like stairs and trailers are in proper working order.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Must not present a direct threat to the safety and health of self, others or property
  • Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America
  • May be required to pass a drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Accepting donations from the public
  • Distributing requisite receipts
  • Sorting, stacking, and inventory of goods
  • Providing quality customer service in a timely and courteous manner to all donors
  • Greeting and assisting donors in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Accepting or rejecting donations according to guidelines
  • Sorting donations in the designated categories
  • Adhering to principles of workstation organization
  • Loading /Unloading donated goods safely and effectively
  • Providing the proper attention to site appearance and cleanliness
  • Keeping management informed as to the site needs
  • Greeting each donor at their vehicle
  • Meeting each donor with a dandex (cart) in hand at their vehicle
  • Assisting each donor with the unloading of all of their donations
  • Rolling dandex (cart) into the donation center
  • Offering each donor a receipt, show donor the receipt book
  • Thanking each donor for their donation
  • Maintaining cleanliness and professional appearance of sites
  • Placing donations in the trailer
  • Maintaining the appearance of trailer exterior and parking lot
  • Assisting in ensuring stairs and trailer are in proper working order
