About The Position

GardaWorld is hiring Coin Tellers for its Cash Vault. The role verifies coin deposits received for processing and checks that the amount matches what the depositing customer declared on the coin deposit ticket. Coin Tellers may cross-train in other areas. The position requires safety and security awareness and includes operating coin-processing equipment, using a tracking system, and maintaining a clean processing area.

Requirements

High school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
Good math skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously.
Must learn to use a forklift and obtain certification to operate it.

Responsibilities

Verify coin deposits and confirm that the amount matches the customer’s deposit ticket.
Operate a jet scan to sort coin by denomination and verify customer coin deposits.
Compare received coin bags against the manifest to ensure all deposits are accounted for.
Enter verified coin into CashTrak or another proprietary tracking system.
Report deposit totals to the supervisor and customer.
Immediately report problems with coin deposit setup or preparation to a supervisor.
Follow departmental guidelines for processing verification of various bank customers’ coin deposits.
Clean and maintain coin equipment and keep the processing area clean and clutter-free.
Check coin bags for foreign coins or non-coin items.
Check empty bags for unprocessed coin.
Sort and load coin onto carts or pallets by bank.
Maintain safety and security awareness.
