About The Position

GARDAWORLD is hiring Coin Tellers for its Cash Vault. Coin Tellers verify coin deposits received for processing and ensure the deposits match the amounts declared on customer deposit tickets. Tellers may cross-train in other areas. The role involves operating coin-processing equipment and a tracking system, reporting results and issues, maintaining equipment and a clean processing area, and handling coin bags and loads.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma.
• Good math skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis.
• Must learn to use a forklift and obtain certification for its operation.

Responsibilities

• Verify coin deposits and confirm that the amounts match those declared on customer deposit tickets.
• Operate a jet scan to sort coins by denomination and verify customer coin deposits.
• Compare received coin bags against manifests to ensure all deposits are accounted for.
• Enter verified coin into CashTrak or another proprietary tracking system.
• Report deposit totals to the supervisor and customer.
• Immediately report problems with coin deposit setup or preparation to a supervisor.
• Follow departmental guidelines for processing verification of various banks’ customer coin deposits.
• Clean and maintain coin equipment and keep the processing area clean and clutter-free.
• Check coin bags for foreign coins or non-coin items.
• Check empty bags for unprocessed coin.
• Sort and load coin onto carts or pallets by bank.
• Learn to use a forklift and certify in its operation.
• Work in a safety- and security-sensitive capacity.
