About The Position
Silgan Dispensing Systems is seeking a Coiler Mechanic for its spring plant in Washington Court House, Ohio. The position conducts compression spring setups and monitors and adjusts machines as needed. It is also responsible for machine repair and maintenance, including preventive maintenance and light electrical work. The position offers first- or second-shift options and is a union job.
Requirements
- Experience setting up compression springs on Torin, Samuels, and Victory machines.
- Ability to adjust machines and test gauges.
- Familiarity with equipment repair and maintenance, including replacing worn parts and performing monthly preventive maintenance.
- Knowledge of light electrical work, including troubleshooting blown fuses and replacing controllers and heating elements.
- Ability to conduct spring quality checks using digital calipers and chart results.
Responsibilities
- Set up compression springs on Torin, Samuels, and Victory machines.
