About The Position

Combustion and Control Solutions is seeking an experienced Code Welder to join their mechanical division. This role focuses on boiler and industrial mechanical work across the Southeast, requiring travel of 60-70% with overnight stays. The ideal candidate will have a strong welding background, take pride in their workmanship, understand industrial job expectations, and possess a strong mechanical aptitude. Responsibilities include assisting with complete mechanical installations, equipment repairs, pipe fitting, boiler work, and industrial troubleshooting, with an understanding of complete mechanical systems and a willingness to assist wherever needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of Code Welding experience.
• Must successfully pass the Combustion and Control Solutions X-Ray Weld Test.
• Strong pipe welding and pipe fitting experience.
• Strong mechanical background.
• Ability to read blueprints, isometric drawings, and P&IDs.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings.

Nice To Haves

• Boiler making experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality code welding in accordance with company and customer specifications.
• Fabricate, fit, and install industrial piping systems.
• Perform pipe fitting, layout, measuring, beveling, and assembly.
• Assist with boiler retubes, tube sheet repairs, refractory repairs, and mechanical projects.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely.
• Maintain quality workmanship and complete projects on schedule.
• Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Complete daily documentation of work performed.
