The Cocktail Server provides full beverage and food service in a lounge or bar, actively takes orders, and monitors guests’ experience. The role interacts with guests, fellow team members, and supervisors in a polite and courteous manner to provide gracious hospitality. The position is for a new Tao Group Hospitality concept opening in a five-star hotel on Park Avenue in Manhattan’s NoMad district in early 2027. The Cocktail Server anticipates guest needs; provides professional service; presents menus and offers information and suggestions about food, beverages, and specials; identifies and communicates dietary restrictions and allergies; enters orders accurately into the POS; and ensures food and beverages are delivered. The role maintains cleanliness, follows alcohol service, bottle service, payment, sanitation, and financial procedures, and communicates guest needs to relevant staff. It also prepares and closes the lounge, bar, and side stations; attends meetings and training; and supports the team and additional tasks as assigned. The role requires in-venue cocktail server training. Work takes place in a fast-paced hospitality environment that may include an office, casino, nightclub, bar, lounge, or restaurant. The environment may involve varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, as well as exposure to cleaning materials. Extended or irregular hours, evening and weekend shifts, and holidays may be required. Team members must maintain a professional, well-groomed appearance and be able to stand for extended periods, move quickly, and push and lift up to 75 pounds, with or without assistance.
