About The Position

The Cocktail Server serves guests in a friendly and efficient manner while processing transactions and maintaining an organized, sanitary work area. The role monitors guest alcohol consumption in accordance with Saratoga Casino Hotel policy and New York State law, keeps the service area stocked, and promotes positive relationships with guests and peers. The listed duties are not exhaustive; other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• TIPS certification is required.
• Able to lift and carry 20 pounds occasionally.
• Able to stand and walk for 6–8 hours.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One to two years of server experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Operate the POS system and process accurate cash and financial transactions.
• Prepare settlement paperwork consistently and in an organized manner.
• Accurately record food and beverage revenues and corresponding cash, credit card, complimentary, and coupon settlements.
• Restock items and products in the assigned area as needed.
• Prepare area inventory and order necessary stock.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption in accordance with Saratoga Casino Hotel policy and New York State law.
• Keep the work area clean and sanitary.
• Relay guest compliments and complaints to Food and Beverage Managers and Supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Promote outstanding relations with guests and peers.
