About The Position

The Taps server provides customer service by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience. Servers maintain a clean, organized dining area and follow food safety and service standards. As primary salespeople, they need thorough knowledge of the menus. The role involves working in a fun, fast-paced adult venue serving alcoholic beverages and food, while exemplifying Schweitzer’s culture of hospitality and teamwork.

Requirements

• Minimum one year of serving experience.
• English reading, writing, and communication skills, plus basic math skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and comfort using a computer-based point-of-sale system.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours per shift.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Idaho State Police Alcohol Beverage Training Certificate; the employer will help the employee acquire it.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly.
• Accurately take orders and deliver them in a timely, professional manner.
• Monitor tables to ensure guests have what they need; clear used dishware and glasses.
• Check guest identification in accordance with Idaho state liquor and identification laws.
• Monitor guest intoxication and take action or get help when necessary.
• Present checks, process payments, and accurately handle cash or card transactions.
• Complete daily point-of-sale reconciliation and bring a personal bank for cash sales.
• Maintain dining-area cleanliness and follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude toward guests and coworkers.
• Assist teammates, communicate, and proactively troubleshoot problems.
• Stay busy during slow periods and complete side work.
