About The Position

This position as a Cocktail Server is for a passionate food service individual who will provide an exceptional experience to our guests. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards (i.e., FAME, LQA guidelines). Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas. Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet. Maintain knowledge of the particular characteristics and description of every wine/champagne by the glass and major wines on the wine list. Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware and garnishes for each drink. Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons and drunk driving. Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, proper table set ups, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range and dress code of assigned outlet. Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Keep bank secure at all times. Maintain complete knowledge of P.O.S. (MICROS) and manual systems.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.
• Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• 1-year experience as a Cocktail Server, Food Server or Host/Hostess.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal.
• Experience in bartending and handling cash.
• Certification in an alcohol awareness program.
• Certification of previous training in liquor, wine and food service.
• Food handling certificate & TABC.
• Provide legible communication.
• Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system.
• Compute basic arithmetic.
