About The Position
Valeo is a global technology company and automotive supplier that develops mobility solutions focused on intuitive driving and reducing CO2 emissions. The Coating Technician is responsible for the daily start-up, operation, and control of Coating Department equipment. The role supports production through equipment and process troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, production coordination, and accurate process documentation. The position is on the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with overtime as necessary.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of maintenance experience, or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Plastic Engineering, Plastic Engineering Technology, or a similar plastics degree.
- Experience maintaining high-speed automated equipment.
Responsibilities
- Start up, operate, and control Coating Department equipment each day.
- Perform or facilitate process and equipment troubleshooting.
- Perform preventive maintenance using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machine-maintenance skills.
- Assist shift supervisors with managing daily production.
- Maintain process setup sheets, records, and shift logs as required.
- Work with engineers and other personnel to debug process or equipment issues.
- Lift up to 75 pounds when necessary.
