About The Position
Valeo is a global technology company and automotive supplier that designs mobility solutions focused on intuitive driving and reducing CO2 emissions. The Coating Technician is responsible for starting up, operating, and controlling Coating Department equipment, troubleshooting processes and equipment, and supporting daily production. The role is on the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with overtime as necessary. The position is listed as full-time and a permanent contract.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of maintenance experience, or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Plastic Engineering, Plastic Engineering Technology, or a similar plastics degree.
- Experience maintaining high-speed automated equipment.
Responsibilities
- Start up, operate, and control Coating Department equipment daily.
- Perform or facilitate process and equipment troubleshooting and preventative maintenance using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance skills.
- Assist shift supervisors in managing daily production.
- Maintain process setup sheets, records, and shift logs as required.
- Work with engineers and other personnel to debug process or equipment issues.
- Lift up to 75 pounds when necessary.
