About The Position
LayerZero Power Systems LLC. is hiring an on-site Finishing Operator in Aurora, Ohio, to apply powder coating to metal surfaces for appearance and protection. The operator monitors and operates equipment and facilities, ensures work meets quality requirements and standard operating procedures, and follows safety standards and emergency procedures. The position is part of a company providing power distribution solutions for critical industries, including data centers, financial services, computer service providers, and semiconductor manufacturers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Manufacturing finishing experience or transferable manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read assembly drawings and follow directions.
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for quality control.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, squat, and kneel.
- Good vision to inspect parts and assemblies.

- Technical or trade school education.
Responsibilities
- Operate powder coating equipment.
- Load and unload parts from an overhead conveyor or manual racks.
- Touch up parts in the powder coating booth as needed using manual powder coating guns.
- Ensure proper adhesion and coverage of powder coating on surfaces.
- Read and interpret build specifications, quality requirements, and computer-generated documents.
- Visually inspect parts for defects and perform quality checks as directed.
- Maintain 5S in the work area.
- Assist team members as needed.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure jobs are completed accurately.
- Demonstrate proper use of tools and equipment.
- Follow company policies, plant rules, safety regulations, and applicable emergency procedures.
