About The Position

Duraco Specialty Materials is hiring a Coating Machine Operator for its Owatonna, Minnesota manufacturing operation. This full-time, second-shift role produces high-performance coated materials for a range of industries. The operator sets up and runs coating equipment for plastic films, paper, foil, and specialty materials, monitors production and product quality, and performs basic machine adjustments and maintenance. The role also involves preparing coating solutions, safely handling materials, recording production data, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Basic math skills and comfort with data entry.
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented mindset.
Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the facility.
Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Comfort working around machinery in a manufacturing environment.
Strong focus on safety and awareness of surroundings.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of manufacturing or machine operation experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate coating machines for plastic films, paper, foil, and specialty materials.
Monitor production runs and perform product testing to ensure quality standards.
Verify product specifications and visually inspect materials during processing.
Make machine adjustments and perform basic maintenance.
Prepare coating solutions according to specifications.
Load and unload materials from equipment safely and efficiently.
Enter production data and maintain accurate daily logs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow safety procedures and company guidelines.
