About The Position

As a Coating Operator, you will work to resurface and texturize customer supplied parts using a spray nozzle as specified by work order instructions. We have openings available on Day shift (Mon-Fri, 6am-2:30pm) and Swing shift (Mon-Fri, 2-10:30pm). Please Note: This role is initially offered as a temporary position through a staffing agency. Successful candidates who demonstrate strong performance and are a good fit for the team may have the opportunity to convert to a full-time, direct employee after completing the contract period, subject to business needs.

Requirements

• Must be proficient at operating a blasting nozzle.
• Know proper blasting pressures as they relate to specifications for any particular part(s).
• Ability to be able to handle delicate parts large or small without damaging.
• Knowledge of how to read and understand prints.
• Has basic math and measurement skills
• Understands warping of parts along with acceptable roughness measurements and how to take such measurements.
• Has an appreciation for timeliness, quality, and punctuality
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of assigned areas
• Employee will be trained in, and is to follow and lead by example, all general safety requirements of Pentagon Technologies as well as specific safety regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by selecting appropriate media and settings based on material type and desired finish.
• Blast parts with some deposition and surfacing parts to specific specifications.
• Understand and follow operating procedures as assigned to the team to assure consistent, reliable, and timely processing of parts within this team.
• Work closely with the other departments regarding reworking and communication for incoming/outgoing parts.
• Interact with other blasters regarding jobs that require more than one person to complete.
