About The Position
UPM Adhesive Materials is looking for a Coating Operator for their team in Mills River, North Carolina. The role involves operating coating equipment safely to produce high-quality products, working across production areas through cross-training, monitoring product quality, and communicating any safety or process concerns promptly. The position also requires supporting continuous improvement initiatives and effective shift handovers, as well as safely moving materials and operating forklifts and reel movers.
Requirements
- Experienced in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to procedures
- Comfortable using computers and digital systems for data entry and reporting
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with different teams
- Open to cross-training and continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Operate coating equipment safely to produce high-quality products that meet customer specifications
- Work across production areas and build skills through cross-training
- Monitor product quality and communicate safety or process concerns promptly
- Support continuous improvement and effective shift handovers
- Safely move materials and operate forklifts and reel movers as needed
