About The Position
Avery Dennison is seeking a dependable Coating Machine Operator to own machine setups, monitor technical processes, and drive high-quality production results. This role is for the night shift on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Comfort learning complex machine operations and investigating root causes of equipment issues.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with inventory or transactional software.
- Strong reliability, accountability, and attention to detail during long or repetitive shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically throughout the shift.
Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of experience in a skilled labor role with demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
Responsibilities
- Lead machine setups, changeovers, and asset operations (including unwinds, dies, and winders).
- Monitor gauges, valves, and temperatures to ensure process specifications are met.
- Periodically test product characteristics using standard measuring tools, proactively troubleshooting equipment abnormalities.
- Partner with teammates to meet daily production goals, participate in continuous improvement (5S/ELS) processes, and enter accurate transaction records into our digital tracking systems.
- Keep a clean, organized work area and wear required PPE, serving as a safety leader on the floor.
